Welcome to Do-Info.com.

This web site is devoted to chronicling the high tech world as I see it. I've been reporting on high technology developments since 1979, when as West Coast Editor for Computer Design Magazine no longer published, I covered peripherals disk and tape drives, printers, plotters, robotics, and anything else that could be connected to a computer. I moved to Electronic Design in 1980 and expanded my reporting to include computers and software operating systems and software development tools, test and measurement equipment, semiconductors, and communications including optical and electronic switching systems. I continued reporting on these topics at Electronics magazine where I also expanded my coverage to electronic design automation tools. During the period of 1984 to 1995, I wrote a monthly newsletter for Elsevier Science Publishers in Oxford, England called Data Storage Report, which reported on developments in the mass storage industry. I‚ve begun posting the past issues of DSR on this site and will continue until all 147 issues are up: one issue each week. During my time as a reporter and editor, I interviewed some interesting people and will share those interviews in the feature article section of the DSR page. I will add additional content beyond the mass storage market as time permits.
