SIMPLY INTERACTIVE PC EFFORT LAUNCHED On April 1, 1996, Microsoft Corp. unveiled the Simply
Interactive PC (SIPC) framework of hardware technologies for Windows
PCs. With a SIPC system, a PC neophyte can play games, watch movies
or TV programs, browse the World Wide Web, connect to a stereo or VCR,
listen to voice mail or write e-mail.
